At Écoboeuf, our farm in Abitbi, we take great care to protect the natural environment and preserve the land for future generations. We are dedicated to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and strive to be a carbon neutral operation. To achieve this goal, we are constantly researching and developing new and improved farming practices that minimize our impact on the land and support the health of the soil and surrounding ecosystem. Our farming methods are specifically adapted to the unique context of the northern climate.
One way we do this is by implementing rotational grazing techniques and silvopasture. Silvopasture is a type of agroforestry in which we combine the raising of livestock with the cultivation of trees. This allows our cows to graze among the trees, providing them with shade and shelter while also allowing the trees to grow and sequester carbon. Instead of confining them, our cows are always outside and move to a new pasture every day, where they are able to graze on fresh grass. This allows the grass in each pasture to recover and regrow, which helps to prevent overgrazing and soil erosion. We also prioritize the use of natural fertilizers and avoid the use of synthetic chemicals.

We are proud to produce grass-fed beef, as our cows are only fed grass and never given any grains or other supplements. This results in a more natural and healthy diet for the cows, and produces beef that is leaner and higher in nutrients compared to grain-fed beef.

Our beef is available in three sizes: quarter beef, half beef, and full beef. Each option includes a variety of cuts, including steaks, roasts, and ground beef, to provide a well-rounded selection for your family’s meals. All of our beef is carefully processed and packaged to ensure maximum freshness and flavor.
For our customers in Abitbi, we offer home delivery of our freezer beef directly to your door. For customers in other regions, our meat is available for pickup at our pick-up location in Marieville (near Montreal) . We are working on expanding our pickup locations in the future to make it even easier for customers to access our high-quality grass-fed beef.
